Lisa has called Marco Island “home” since 2014 after she, her husband and her youngest 2 out of 7 kids moved south. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where she spent 25 years as a police/fire/ems dispatcher and 911 operator. Once in Florida, she quickly realized retirement was not for her, and she spent 5 years with the City of Marco Island as their recording clerk. After losing her husband, Lt. Clayton Smith of the Marco Island Police Department in a fatal motor vehicle accident, she found herself in uncharted territory. Her path since has led her to Island Country Club as our Membership Services Coordinator.

Lisa has come to love Island Country Club and its members. She has graciously accepted the role of Executive Assistant. Her time spent at the City of Marco Island as their Recording Clerk will serve her well in her new duties. She enjoys her dogs, the beach, her four grandchildren, and not necessarily all in that order! In fact, if I had to guess, her grandchildren would be at the top of her totem pole!
